Hi there! 👋
Thank you so much for partnering with the J4K-52 mission to share Jesus with children in a way that truly connects with them. We’re excited to have you on this journey! This lesson is Chapter 1 of Unit 2 (BLOCKED Account) for Flame Kids 🔥 (Ages 8 and above). Click here for the complete lesson plan.

Let’s get started! 🚀

Use the links below to view the details for each session segment.

10 mins:   [✨🔥]

Activity: Songs

Engage the children in singing time. You can use the “Block Panaathe” song (Link in quick links). Or any song that is relevant to the theme of the lessons.

Transition into today’s lesson by saying: “In the previous UNIT (NEW ACCOUNT) we saw how God created the whole world and started a new account. God looked everything and said it wad GOOD. But the world we live in today does not look quite good. What happened to the GOOD WORLD, GOOD NATURE, GOOD HUMAN BEINGS that God created? We will learn just that in Unit 2 – BLOCKED ACCOUNT”

40 mins:   [🔥]

Bible Portion: Genesis 2: 15-17, Genesis 3

Part 1: Heart-Block Game

Create a simple Heart-Block Challenge using the instructions provided below. You can also refer to the video in the Quick Links for the game rules and step-by-step “How to Play” guidance.

This challenge will be used to begin Bible Time each week in this series. In every session, one block will be revealed and decoded.
For this session, the block to be revealed is “Man.”

Talk Point:
Ask the children: “If God were a contact on your phone or a friend on Instagram, would you ever block Him or cancel Him?”

(Children will most likely answer, “No!”)

Respond: “That’s right. None of us would openly say ‘No’ to God like that. But many times, we say ‘No’ to God quietly—in our hearts. Not just once or twice, but many times every day.

You might find that surprising, or you might even disagree. But today, we’re going to look at the story of the very first man and woman and discover that, from the very beginning, people have been saying ‘No’ to God in their hearts.”

Part 2: Understanding Adam and Eve’s Choice

Divide the children into pairs or small groups. Ask each group to read the Bible portion carefully and discuss the story. Give each group a sheet of paper and ask them to write down the different ways Adam and Eve said “No” to God. Most groups will begin (and sometimes stop) with the word “disobedience.” Encourage them to think deeper.

You can guide them toward insights such as:

  • They said “No” to God when they believed Satan’s words more than God’s truth.
  • They said “No” to God when they made a decision without talking to Him first.
  • They said “No” to God when they hid from Him in fear and blamed others instead of truly repenting.

Invite each group to share their thoughts with the class.

Part 3: Personal Reflection

Give each child a piece of paper. Ask them to quietly reflect on their own lives and write down ways they may say “No” to God in their day-to-day actions, attitudes, or choices.

Optional: You may use the “Yes No, God” Booklet booklet during this section (and throughout all four weeks of the series). Refer to the quick links below for more details.

10 mins:   [🔥]

Ask each child to write down one practical action they can take during the week that would say “Yes” to God. (You may also use the “Yes No, God” Booklet for this activity.)

Home Project: Children should complete the task they chose before the next session.

Next Session: Let the children know that in the next session, they will learn how families can say “No” to God—and how they can choose to say “Yes” instead.

NA

Each lesson does not have a separate memory verse. Instead, children are encouraged to memorize entire chapters or Bible portions. For Unit 2 (Blocked Account), the memory portion is

Psalm 119: 9 – 16

We would love to hear about your experience!
Would you take a moment to share what went well, what could be improved, or anything new you tried that worked especially well?

Thank you! 💖
