Hi there! 👋

15 mins:   [🔥🔥]

Activity:
Begin by revisiting last session’s homework: “Did man come from apes?” Invite the children to share what they discovered.

Conclude by briefly introducing one of the most commonly cited evidences by evolutionists—Ardipithecus ramidus, often called “Ardi.”

This is believed to be a 4.4-million-year-old fossil found in Ethiopia. Scientists think Ardi was human-like because it could walk on two legs sometimes, had teeth a bit like humans, and hands that were different from apes.
They believe these features make it look partly human and partly ape.
But this is an interpretation, not proof that humans came from monkeys. However this interpretation is contradictory to the Bible.

Transition: The Bible clearly shows that God took special and intentional care in creating humans. Humans did not evolve from monkeys, as secular theories suggest. That is what we will delve into today.

Bible Portion: Genesis 2:4–8; Genesis 1:27
Activity: Story Time

Event Outline:
God created the world and everything in it in six days. There were birds in the sky, fish in the sea, and animals on the land. God spoke, and by His Word, everything came into existence—and it was all good.

Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image.” Humans were created to reflect God’s nature and to care for the rest of creation. God did not create humans like he created every other creature. He formed man from the dust of the ground and then breathed the breath of life into him. That breath made man a living being.

This is what makes humans different from animals. Only humans can have a relationship with God. Only humans have a conscience—the inner voice that helps us know right from wrong. The next time you feel guilty about something, remember that this conscience is a gift God placed inside you. Even your pet dog or cat does not have this privilege.

Humans were special to God.
And you are very special to God.

20 mins:   [🔥🔥 / 🔥]

Activity (Choose one):

  1. Print the “Did You Know?” sheets and place them around the Sunday School room. Walk the children through each station and discuss the facts together.
    OR
  2. Show the digital images from your phone and discuss each fact while seated.

Talk Point:
Psalm 139:14 tells us we are fearfully and wonderfully made. God carefully formed you—even when you were in your mother’s womb. Ephesians 1:4 reminds us that God had you in mind even before the world was created.

You are not an accident.
You were thoughtfully and lovingly created in the image of God.

(Plan this activity in consultation with your Sunday School director.)

5 mins:   [🔥]

Inform the children that they will learn how the first relationship came to be in the next session. Before then, ask them to research using Bible/ Google/ AI/ their teacher

Younger Kids:
👉 If you have mobile phones, do you still need other people?

Older Kids:
👉 Can someone be born in the wrong body?

We would love to hear about your experience!
Would you take a moment to share what went well, what could be improved, or anything new you tried that worked especially well?

Thank you! 💖
