Time to READ:

3–5 minutes

Hi there! 👋
Thank you so much for partnering with the J4K-52 mission to share Jesus with children in a way that truly connects with them. We’re excited to have you on this journey! This lesson is Chapter 3 of Unit 2 (BLOCKED Account) for Spark Kids ✨ (Ages below 8). Click here for the complete lesson plan.
Let’s get started! 🚀

Use the links below to view the details for each session segment.

25 mins:   [✨✨]

Activity: Movie time

Invite all the children to sit together comfortably. Create excitement by saying:

“Today, we are going to watch the story of someone just like you and me — someone who said ‘Yes’ to God, even when everyone around him said ‘No’.”

Play the story of Noah in a language the children understand well. (Link available in Quick Links.)

Optional Setup:
Dim the lights to create a cozy atmosphere. Rearrange the seating if needed so everyone can see clearly. You may even pass around small snacks to make it a special movie-time experience.

After the movie, gently transition by saying:
“Today, we are also going to hear about something very beautiful — the story of the rainbow.”

30 mins:   [✨]

Bible Portion: Genesis 6,7,8,9

Invite the children to retell the story they just watched in their own words. Ask simple guiding questions to help them remember. This recap will help reinforce the message.

Then share this message clearly and warmly:

Message:
Noah’s friends chose to say “No” to God and continued doing wrong things. Their hearts became so hard that God had to stop the evil. God sent the flood, but He saved Noah because Noah chose to say “Yes” to God and obey Him.

Even if others say “No,” we can choose to say “Yes” to God.

Ask the children:

  • When your friends ask you to play while the Pastor is preaching, how can you say “Yes” to God?
  • When your friends refuse to listen to the school teacher, how can you say “Yes” to God?
  • When your friends disobey their parents, how can you say “Yes” to God?

Encourage practical answers like listening, obeying, being respectful, and doing what is right.

Things Needed:

  • “God’s Special Promise” rainbow coloring sheet (see Quick Links)
  • Crayons

Activity:
Children love rainbows because they are bright and colorful. As they color, remind them: Whenever God sees a rainbow, He remembers His special promise — a promise to protect and preserve life.

Let the coloring time be calm and reflective.

5 mins:   [✨]

Tell the children:

“In our next session, we will learn more about how we can say ‘Yes’ to God in the world around us.”

Home Challenge

👉 Pray together with at least one friend before the next session.

Encourage them to share next week how they said “Yes” to God.

Note to Parents:
Please encourage your child to share during the week how they are choosing to say “Yes” to God in their everyday life.

Each lesson does not have a separate memory verse. Instead, children are encouraged to memorize entire chapters or Bible portions. For Unit 2 (Blocked Account), the memory portion is

Psalm 119 : 9-11

We would love to hear about your experience!
Would you take a moment to share what went well, what could be improved, or anything new you tried that worked especially well?

Thank you! 💖
