BIBLE PORTION: Luke 1:5-24
God Is Watching!
Long, long ago, many people in the world were doing bad things.
They were unkind to their families.
They were unkind to others in the church.
They did not care about others.
They only wanted to do what made them happy.
And worst of all, they forgot about God!
But in this kind of a world, there were two people who loved God very much.
Their names were Zechariah and Elizabeth.
They loved God and obeyed everything He said.
And do you know what God said about them?
God called them RIGHTEOUS!
But Zechariah and Elizabeth had one big problem. They did not have a baby. Now they were very old, and they thought they could never have a baby.
One day, Zechariah was serving God in the temple.
Suddenly, an angel appeared to him!
The angel said, “Zechariah, don’t be afraid! God has heard your prayer. You and Elizabeth will have a baby boy. You must name him John. God has a very special plan for him!”
Wow! What wonderful news!
Just as God promised, Zechariah and Elizabeth had a baby boy. They named him JOHN!
He grew up to become the famous John the Baptist. He prepared the way for Jesus!
What an amazing story!
Many people around them had forgotten God. But Zechariah and Elizabeth continued to love Him and obey Him.
And God noticed!
Remember: Guard your heart and do what is right, even when others around you are doing wrong.
Even when nobody else is watching, GOD IS WATCHING!
He sees your little acts of kindness, your obedience and your love for Him.
So, will you be like Zechariah and Elizabeth?
Will you love God and do what is right, even when nobody is watching?

ACTIVITY: ROLE PLAY
THINGS NEEDED
Small paper cards to make “Situation cards”
SETUP
Write the following situations on separate cards and place them face down on a table.
Situation Cards:
- You find an unattended mobile phone.
- You are tempted to lie to escape the consequences of a mistake.
- Your friends encourage you to make fun of someone.
- You get an opportunity to take something that doesn’t belong to you.
- You can help someone, but nobody will know or appreciate what you did.
METHOD
- Divide the children into small teams, ensuring each team has representatives from both Spark and Flame groups.
- Ask each team to pick a situation card.
- Give them a few minutes to discuss what they would do in that situation if nobody were watching.
- Each team presents its decision through a short role-play.
- After each presentation, invite the other teams to discuss whether the decision reflects a guarded heart.
MESSAGE
A guarded heart makes the right choice even when nobody is watching. Remember, God sees our hearts!
